I'm sad to report that a senseless act of violence that resulted in the death of 13 innocent souls took place at the American Civic Center this morning in my hometown of Binghamton, NY. The victims fell to gunfire from a shooter that turned his gun on himself. No demands were made by the gunman. All that we know now is he was familiar with and he was known by some people associated with the Civic Association. There is no apparent motive that we are aware of at this time. Many of the victims were attending citizenship classes. This tragedy affects loved ones and families around the world. Our condolences to all who have suffered loss on this very sad day.
