Whiskey In The Jar by Metallica
Released in 1998 on the Garage Inc. double album of cover tunes, this song was well received and rode its way up the charts. Founded in Los Angeles in 1981, Metallica quickly outgrew the indie charts. Some fans were disappointed when they crossed over to mainstream, arguing that their sound became too polished and had lost it's edge. Regardless of opinion the band has remained successful having many revisions of their line up over the years. Front man James Hetfield is arguably one of the most recognized faces of Rock.
